Want More Comments On your Blog? Follow These Tips and Get More !

A blogger always wishes to have tons of comments on every post of his , so that he knows the post is actually read. Their is moral difference between a visitor visiting a blog and a visitor commenting on the post. I cant explain it but when bloggers get comments on their posts it boosts their confidence and will power to write more and post more quality content for their readers.

Now in this post of mine, I will walk through some tips to get more comments on your blog following which many have noticed the difference. I have specially made up this post on request by one of my readers who had mailed me asking to do so.

Is there a magic to generate more comments ?

Well sadly there isn’t a magic that’s going to work but a little effort and dedication can get you the results which you want to achieve in the form of increased number of comments.

Tips To Get More Comments On Your Blog:

First Have Quality Content:

You cant expect comments on poor and dead content ! No Harm ! Really if you write a post something which readers feel it’s not worth reading then expecting a comment is like finding a brick in deep sea. Make sure that you write high quality blog posts and the content is really one which your readers will like to read. Once you do that you can expect them to comment on it.

Ask Readers to comment:

There is no harm in asking your readers to leave a reply or comment on what they think of your blog post. Be crisp and clear on what you want them to do and be frank with your readers by being humorous some times while asking for that. You can always ask “Leave a reply in the comments section below” or “Do let us know your opinions”.

Be Interactive With Your Readers:

Will you like to have a conversation with one who interacts well or a dumb guy who is just talking and telling stories which interests him more?  The one who interacts (Talks and Understands the situation) right ! Similarly people who are reading your blog post should feel that you are keeping them involved throughout the post and not making them dozy by just putting up content.

Also make sure that you reply to every comment that has been posted on your blog so that the commentator doesn’t feel  his comment has gone unnoticed.

Have Optimal Comments Settings:

Sometimes I see newbie bloggers and others make a mistake by moderating each and every comment. Once you know that your reader is not a spam commentator you should allow him to post comments without moderation. Also make sure that the Threaded Reply is On, So that readers know to whom the reply is intended in the comments section.

Do-Follow Your Blog:

Making this happen is surely difficult for many  bloggers as they don’t want to end up having lower rankings on search engines. But for me at Nthblogger I feel readers are important for me and that is why I have made NthBlogger a Do-Follow blog. Making a blog Do-follow lets readers commenting to get backlinks from the blog posts which should pass on some SEO juice. This is like luring them into commenting on your blog post. Use CommentLuv Plugin:

I have always loved this plugin but I am not using this plugin here in my blog for some other reasons which is related to my wordpress theme. By installing this plugin you give your readers an option to have their blog post links when they comment which is not possible with default wordpress comments section. In General , it is noticed that blogs with CommentLuv plugin generally receive more comments but spammers are also high which can be reduced by following these tips to reduce spam comments.

Use Moojax Comment Posting Plugin:

I highly recommend bloggers to install this plugin on their blogs. This is an Ajax Plugin which allows readers to post comments on your blog post without reloading the entire page. I hope you understand my wordings ! That is when your commentator comments on your blog post, the page wouldn’t reload and automatically add the comment on the page.
